Hero's Knob front side

This turned out to be waaaaaay better skiing than we set out for.   Originally we just wanted to get out in nature, stretch our legs, get a little exercise and come back relaxed.  We had left the city at the crack of noon (5 or 6 hours later than usual), so we weren't expecting to get far or high enough to do any turns.  Not only did we get turns, we got turns in 40 cm of fresh powder down a couple of long slopes.  Only two other guys were there - they'd driven all the way from Maine to ice climb in the Canadian Rockies (the Ghost Wilderness valley is world renowned for ice climbing), but the skiing was so good at the time of their trip that they realized that they'd been wasting their time ice climbing and converted to skiing instead.

This is the first time I used a pano app - recently downloaded onto my iPhone.  There are some stitching artifacts/errors - I'm not sure yet if it's the result of how I took the panoramas or poor programming in the app.
Almost at our high point.

The first slope that we skied down.

On the drive home.
