This is a special day: the first trip to he mountains in my brand new (2010 model year) mountain car. After work and dinner I drove out to Mt. Yamnuska, which took about 1 hour, arriving at the parking lot at 8 pm. I hiked partway up the mountain, stayed for a while to take in the views and listen to the birds calling, and was back at the car by 9:20 pm.
