Sunshine Slabs - video!


Back at Sunshine Slabs again this weekend.  Another beautiful summer day, and even more climbing.

Here is the first ever video of me climbing - it's an easy climb. Mom & dad, as you've not seen me climb before, this is for you - click on the link (as for some reason I couldn't upload or embed the video). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvGcwuYICGY  I led a much harder 5.10a climb later on - notable because a) I haven't led a grade that hard in two years since injuries nor done much climbing for two years, and b) I've shed my fear of lead climbing that's been dogging me for a couple of years ever since some scary Class 4 scramble approaches and descents.

    You look smooth and confident in the video clip. That first bolt is completely useless. :)

    Thanks :). At the beginning the fall would have been into the river, possibly dragging Angie in as well, so I was grateful for that first bolt.
